So what do you think these mean? Perhaps, best songs, best bands, or most popular songs ever. No, these are the best guitar solos of all time as voted by about 2,000 readers of “Total Guitar Magazine.”
Well, for the most part I’m satisfied except for one thing, don’t take this too hard Metallica enthusiasts, but how in the hell did the solo from “Enter Sandman” get up there. Now, you could say everyone gives Metallica a hard time, they are a good pure band you should just like them for their music. Well, let me tell everyone right now, I don’t dislike Metallica for James Hetfield’s over indulgent voice, I don’t dislike Metallica because of their genre, I don’t dislike Metallica because they sold out three times, and I don’t dislike Metallica because they led to the downfall of Napster which I loved. The reason I don’t like Metallica is because, to me, the music is just not memorable.
The songs just don’t stick with me like the songs of other bands. Maybe I’m bias but in another world maybe someone sees eye to eye with me. Whatever the reason I’ll leave it at that, I don’t want to rant all day about Metallica, they had to of done something right, or made music that someone likes and for that we should all say thanks…….I guess.
If you’re fed up with this post and you’re a Metallica fan I sincerely apologize, I would just feel bad if I posted a news article about something and didn’t speak my voice. If you like Metallica more power to you and stand by your music. Argue about it, prove me wrong, but at the same time remember I will disagree, maybe I’m just bias.
On another note, after the Metallica bashing (my apologies again Metallica fans), I think the rest of the countdown was pretty on par. I keep thinking some songs should be higher like “Crazy Train,” but then I look at the list and say you can’t put “Eruption or “Crossroads” after “Mr. Crowley.” That’s the problem with countdowns, some solos just can’t have a number put on them. I could see myself voting for a different song depending on the mood I’m in or what time of year it was. I’m just happy the pole turned out better than anything you see on MTV or VH1 these days, those shows went so far down hill.

His all, I’m James and I’m really love hard rock and classic rock so I decided to make a website for my favorite band. The site is dedicated to Guns N’ Roses and I’m trying to publish some articles to help out my website and get more people to listen to their music. All the articles are written by me and contain unique content and insight into the band.
